Pensions and Investments

Pensions have changed considerably over the years. We often find people have outdated  ideas of what pensions are and the options available. This could lead to making well intentioned, but  detrimental decisions - and often at a critical time. Why not check with us first?

If you are about to retire?

We suggest you talk to us immediately, and do not automatically complete the forms sent to you by your existing pension provider. There may be options you are unaware of or strategies you have not considered. In addition to this, we may be able to source a better, or more suitable solution than that being offered to you.

Your existing pensions?

You may have existing pensions (or investments) that have not been reviewed for some time, or not at all. We can undertake a detailed analysis of your existing provision, and make recommendations to ensure they are working for you as they should.

Investment and savings

You may wish to begin saving for a future nest-egg, or a specific need such as university fees for your children. We can recommend a strategy for your needs.

Portfolio Reviews

Do your existing investments or pensions need to be reviewed to make sure they are working for you? Ask yourself...

Would you know if they were not performing?

How would you tackle this if they were not?

Do you know what level of risk they are exposed to?

Is this the level of risk that which you want?

Are the charges competitive?

Is the spread of assets correct?

How are these funds performing against peer funds?

We can analyse your holdings, advise and make recommendations to ensure they are in line with your objectives at the level of risk you stipulate. We may highlight strategies you have not considered.

We are happy to formulate recommendations for you to consider and explain it in simple English.

Please Note

The value of your investments can go down as well as up, so you could get back less than you invested.

A pension is a long-term investment. The fund value may fluctuate and can go down. Your eventual income may depend upon the size of the fund at retirement, future interest rates and tax legislation.
